During his studies in Stuttgart and Karlsruhe with Oleg Maisenberg, Friedemann Rieger and Günther Reinhold he was influenced by the pianistic traditions of Russia, Germany and France. From the great pedagogue Peter Feuchtwanger he learnt "Belcanto on the piano", the secrets of Chopin's sound world and the "Golden Age of piano playing".

For ten years he was solo pianist of the Stuttgart Ballet and he performed in this capacity with the Staatsorchester Stuttgart, the Korean Symphony Orchestra , Shanghai Symphony Orchestra , the Beijing State Orchestra, as well as with the Amsterdam Symphony Orchestra with whom he played piano concertos by Chopin ( F minor) and Brahms (B flat major). In addition, he was engaged as a soloist in 2014 by the Thailand Philharmonic Orchestra and 2015 by the Orquestra Nacional de Cuba in Havana.
In 2015 Reitenbach was appointed lecturer at the Musikhochschule Stuttgart.
